Jacob Ayres-Thomson

Jacob is CEO and founder of 3AI, a machine learning company dedicated to unlocking alpha in large datasets, formed from the award winning investment data science team he built at Just Group.  Previously he represented PwC as their asset & risk modelling expert, advising the UK Treasury during the Financial Crisis and consulting to a range of clients across the insurance, investment banking, hedge fund and asset management industry.   Prior to this he worked in equity trading for Barclays Capital and Goldman Sachs.  He was recognised as the UK’s top Data Leader in Finance after developing artificial intelligence that solved near infinite complexity investing problems for Just Group.  He holds a MSc (Dist) in Machine Learning from the UCL AI Centre and a BSc (1st) in Statistics, also from University College London.
